In case you missed it, President Donald Trump announced last night that he’s “100% opposed” to Gotion, the electric vehicle battery plant with direct ties to the Chinese Communist Party that Michigan Democrats are forcing upon Big Rapids.
China is our greatest adversary – so why are Michigan Democrats so determined to welcome them into our state with open arms?
Michigan prides itself on building America’s auto industry – not the CCP’s electric vehicle battery monopoly.
But Kamala Harris feels differently. In fact, she wants to REWARD these CCP linked companies. Her tie-breaking vote for the Inflation Reduction Act – which only fueled inflation – funnels massive federal tax dollars to Chinese companies like Gotion.
Of course, Elissa Slotkin voted for the act – which isn’t a surprise considering she also signed a shady, non-disclosure agreement with the company.
…And Governor Whitmer signed off on $175 million in taxpayer incentives for Gotion.
Let’s be clear – Gotion is a national security threat. Even ex-CIA Director Leon Panetta said that the CCP would likely use Gotion for espionage.
Bottom line: President Trump will protect American interests and return us to a position of strength on the world stage.
