When asked what’s the most important issue this election, we’ve been clear. As the saying goes – ‘it’s the economy, stupid’.
But for real. The economy has consistently been the top issue for Michigan voters. And overwhelmingly, Michigan voters think President Trump is better suited to handle the mess Kamala Harris has made.
A recent poll from the Detroit News showed that 19.5% of respondents said jobs and the economy was the most important issue this election year, making it the top issue for Michigan voters.
Inflation came in at 12.1% and the third most important issue. But, when combined, the two issues are the top issue for 31.6% of participants.
That’s nearly one in every three respondents, and a FOUR point increase from July.
The reason is simple. 64% of Michiganders say they are worse off under the Harris Administration than they were four years ago.
Since Kamala took office, everything is MORE expensive and Michigander have been subjected to the longest period of high inflation in more than three decades. Overall prices are up 20.2% and groceries are up 21.6%.
Kamala Harris’ three and a half years in office has cost the average Michigan family $26,000 in just normal living expenses.
That’s why 52% of Michiganders believe President Trump is better suited to handle the economy.
Michiganders are living under Kamala Harris – and they can’t afford a second more.
