Kamala’s Crushing Inflation: Michiganders Struggling to Survive as Debt Soars and Savings Vanish

Press Releases

Michiganders are being crushed under the weight of Harris’ historic inflation, leaving many unable to keep up with their most essential financial responsibilities. The cost of living has skyrocketed, and Michiganders are finding it nearly impossible to pay their debts, save for retirement, or afford rent. Nearly half of Americans now consider themselves “broke,” and with 65 percent of them struggling to save, the road ahead looks dire.

Two-thirds of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck with no financial cushion to fall back on. The personal savings rate sits at a meager 2.9 percent, far below the long-term average of 8.9 percent, leaving Michiganders vulnerable to any unexpected expenses. In her three years as vice president, the only thing Kamala Harris has succeeded at is making life more difficult and unaffordable for hardworking Americans with her devastating economic policies.

The situation is growing more desperate by the day as Michiganders increasingly turn to borrowing in order to cover their daily expenses. Household debt has ballooned to a record $17.69 trillion, and credit card debt has surpassed $1 trillion for the first time in history. Michiganders are relying more on credit cards to make ends meet, but with sky-high interest rates, they’re only digging themselves deeper into debt. Credit card delinquency is at its highest level in over a decade, signaling just how severe the situation has become. Under Kamala Harris, Michiganders are trapped in a vicious cycle of debt, with no relief in sight.

Comrade Kamala admitted that “we just need to move past the failed policies that we have proven don’t work.” Yes, Kamala, we agree.

As Michiganders fight to make ends meet, Kamala Harris has proven she is incapable and unwilling to fix the disastrous economy she created. Only President Trump can reverse this economic catastrophe and restore financial stability for Michiganders and all Americans. In November, Michiganders will overwhelmingly cast their ballots to Make America Affordable again.
