Corrupt Carl Marlinga Joins Congressional Race As Ethics Complaint Remains Unresolved

March 7 2022

LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party issued a statement on the latest entrant to the 10th congressional district race, corrupt Judge Carl Marlinga:

“We knew the fix was in the Democrat party to coax corrupt Carl Marlinga to run for Congress against John James, a decorated veteran who served his country with honor and distinction,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director. “This is the same Democrat who helped a convicted rapist win a new trial in exchange for campaign contributions to his last congressional run. And who, over the course of the last month, violated the Michigan canons of judicial ethics, preparing an illegal congressional run. We’re going to fight to keep corrupt Democrats who want to defund the police, want to force Michiganders to pay more, and are going along to get along out of Washington. Michiganders have suffered enough under Democrat policies.”

The Michigan Republican Party previously filed a complaint against Judge Carl Marlinga for illegal political campaign activity in preparation for his campaign announcement today.

The new 10th congressional district encompasses south Macomb County, including Warren and Sterling Heights and goes north past M-59 into Shelby Township, Macomb Township and Utica. The district also includes portions of Oakland County, including Rochester and Rochester Hills.
