Gov. Whitmer Continues to Play Political Games with Incompetent Pandemic Reponse
Whitmer refuses to follow the actual science, choosing to follow political science
LANSING, MICH—Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s decision to keep businesses 50 percent closed for an additional month is just another example of her incompetent pandemic response.
“There is absolutely no reason to keep these lockdowns in place for half the summer,” said Ted Goodman, Communications Director for the Michigan Republican Party. “Gov. Whitmer is demonstrating once again that she is following political science rather than the actual science with her pandemic response.”
Whitmer’s new guidelines come as recent polling shows her approval numbers below 50%. The survey, from Target Insyght, revealed how Michiganders are rejecting her onerous lockdown measures.
