Primary Debate To Take Place During The Chamber’s Annual Policy Conference on Mackinac Island

LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party, in partnership with the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, announced today the first sanctioned Republican gubernatorial primary debate:

“We’re excited to take this important step to let voters know they’ll have a choice this November when they go to the polls,” said Ambassador Ron Weiser, Chairman of the MIGOP. “They will get to choose between Gretchen Whitmer and Joe Biden who have forced Michiganders to pay more for just about everything and who enable a woke culture that seeks to silence Michiganders or Republicans who are laser focused on making things more affordable and bringing immediate lasting relief to Michiganders. We’re going to end this woke culture that seeks to silence millions of Michiganders.”

The first sanctioned Republican gubernatorial primary debate will take place on Mackinac Island during the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce Policy Conference on June 2, 2022. Additional details will be released in the coming weeks.
