LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party issued the following statement ahead of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s visit to Detroit on Thursday:
“While Janet Yellen heads to Michigan to stump for Joe Biden and the Democrats’ radical green climate agenda, Michiganders and Americans continue being pummeled by a looming recession and skyrocketing inflation,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director. “This visit rings as hollow as the Democrats’ so-called inflation reduction act, which included billions of dollars in climate subsidies while failing to adequately address inflation. Democrats like Janet Yellen, Joe Biden, and Gretchen Whitmer don’t care about the struggles working Michiganders and Americans face when they go to the gas pump or grocery store, and this November, we will fire Democrats for good.”
