Lansing, MI – The Michigan Republican Party released a statement following the Michigan Democrat Party’s nominating convention, where the Democrats endorsed Gretchen Whitmer, Dana Nessel, and Jocelyn Benson for re-election:
“Michigan Democrats continue to miss the mark on what is happening nationwide and here in Michigan,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director. “They chose to focus on cancel culture instead of addressing the issues affecting Michiganders today, like addressing the needs of parents whose children have been affected negatively by Gretchen Whitmer’s lockdowns or putting forward a plan to help reduce the economic burden of Democrat inflation that continued to hit working class families hard across the board. Thankfully, Michiganders can trust that Republicans will put working class families first and will help them recover from the nightmare that the Whitmer Administration has been.”
