LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party issued the following statement after Michigan Supreme Court Justice
Richard Bernstein showed his partisan hand on the issue of abortion at a political event on Sunday:
“Michigan Supreme Court Justice, Democrat Richard Bernstein, showed his partisan hand regarding how he would rule on the issue of abortion while at a Democrat event yesterday,” said Elizabeth Giannone, MIGOP Deputy Communications Director. “A deeply entrenched member of the Democrat Party, it’s not surprising he falls in line with their extreme pro-abortion agenda, but as a sitting member of the state Supreme Court it is disgraceful that he would publicly nod to his own opinion on the matter during a political event. Innocent, unborn lives are at stake with this court case, yet Justice Bernstein appears to be simply playing politics with these lives.”
