Lansing, Mich — The Michigan Republican Party issued a statement following the recent EPIC-MRA poll showing an overwhelming number of Michiganders have a negative view of the roads in our state:
“Gretchen Whitmer promised voters she would fix the damn roads and four years later she’s failed to meet this promise,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff & Communications Director. “Her failures have continued to pile up, from failing to attract businesses and jobs to Michigan to her hypocrisy during the pandemic, Michiganders are ready to move on from an out-of-touch politician who is phoning it in as she works to ascend the political ladder. It’s part of the reason why she consistently loses on the generic ballot to the Republican candidate. Come November, we’ll elect a Republican Governor who will finally put Michiganders and their interests first.”
