MIGOP Blasts Whitmer, Gilchrist For Political Pothole Theater And Failure To Fix The Damn Roads

LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party released a statement following some of the worst political theater by Democrat politicians Gretchen Whitmer and Garlin Gilchrist worried about their re-election prospects after failing to follow through on key promises to fix the damn roads:

“The political theater in our state has never been more fully on display than this week, as Gretchen Whitmer and Garlin Gilchrist put on their best performances across Michigan filling potholes,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director. “It’s clear their polling shows this failed promise is costing voters across Michigan at the worst possible time. We wouldn’t be in this situation if Gretchen Whitmer kept her promise to fix the damn roads, but we know she’s big on splash announcements and thin on accomplishments. Thankfully, Michiganders will have the opportunity to hold Gretchen Whitmer and Joe Biden accountable this fall by voting to retire Whitmer.”

After four years of Whitmer campaigning on “fixing the damn roads,” Michiganders are lately forced to ask themselves if they are better off now than they were four years ago. This is something the Michigan Republican Party has routinely asked Michiganders for the last year.
