LANSING, MICH – Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ron Weiser released the following statement after Thursday’s Republican gubernatorial debate on Mackinac Island concluded:
“The clear loser of this debate was Gretchen Whitmer, who came under the microscope for her failures in office,” said Ambassador Ron Weiser. “Under her watch, thousands of businesses were forced to close putting thousands of workers out of jobs. She also kept our kids out of the classroom and put more lives in danger as a result of her COVID policies. And, she’s failed to fulfill the promises made to voters when she said she would fix the roads. We’re going to fire Gretchen Whitmer and her cronies this fall and usher in a new era of prosperity and opportunity as we elect a new Republican Governor.”
