MIGOP Launches Empower Michigan Video Ahead of Party Endorsement Convention

April 21 2022

LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party released its convention video on Thursday, titled “Empower Michigan,” ahead of the party’s endorsement convention on April 23, 2022. The video criticizes Michigan Democrats Gretchen Whitmer, Elissa Slotkin, Dana Nessel, Jocelyn Benson, and Democrat President Joe Biden for failures that have left our country and state in economic ruin. The video highlights the power of new Republican leadership come November.

“From COVID failures that locked kids out of classrooms, shuttered small businesses, and resulted in the deaths of the elderly and infirm, to the radical agendas embraced by Democrats that celebrate woke ideologies ahead of parental rights, Michiganders are ready to elect new leadership in November,” said Ambassador Ron Weiser, Chairman of the Michigan GOP. “We are fully prepared to stand by whoever emerges victorious from our endorsement convention because while Democrats have left our state high and dry as they chase personal political ambitions and engage in acts of theater for show, we know Republicans have the tools and values to turn it around and usher in a new era of economic prosperity and freedom for all.”

The video comes as delegates prepare to head to Grand Rapids to vote on final endorsements for Attorney General, Secretary of State, Michigan Supreme Court, State Board of Education, University of Michigan Board of Regents, Michigan State University Board of Trustees and Wayne State University Board of Governors.
