LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party released the following statement pushing back on false narratives attacking the current GOP field of candidates vying to defeat Gretchen Whitmer this fall:
“The number of candidates filing for Governor on the Republican side speaks to the frustration with terrible Democrat policies that have forced our children out of the classrooms, shuttered small businesses, and tanked our local economy forcing Michiganders to pay more for just about everything,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director. “Republicans are energized, filling rooms across the state to make their voices heard and enthusiastic about firing the captain of Joe Biden’s sinking ship, Gretchen Whitmer. Any strategist or consultant pushing the contrary will be eating their words this November.”
