LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party released the following statement after a poll was released showing that 93 percent of likely voters in Michigan rated state roads as a “total negative”:
“Gretchen Whitmer made a promise to Michigan voters when she ran for Governor and she’s failed to meet this very promise,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director. “It was among the most important issues to voters when she first ran, and it continues to be at the top of mind now. The difference is that Gretchen Whitmer has had four years to fix the damn roads as she promised, and she has not done so. It’s clear Michiganders can’t trust Gretchen Whitmer to get this done and that’s why this fall voters will hold her accountable for this failed promise by making her a one-term Governor.”
