MIGOP Releases Statement Supporting Senate Republicans Voting to Protect State-Run Elections

(Lansing, Mich.) – Michigan Republican Party Communications Manager Elizabeth Giannone released the following statement after U.S. Senate Republicans voted to protect state-run elections by voting down the Freedom to Vote Act:

“As we continue working towards strengthening election integrity here in Michigan, radical Democrats in Washington are attempting to strip us of free, fair and secure processes at every turn,” said Elizabeth Giannone, MIGOP Communications Manager. “The American people have today narrowly avoided heavy-handed federal intervention in our state elections. These consequential and pivotal votes in Washington show exactly why we must elect Republicans across the state and at the national level next November.”
