LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party issued the following statement as House Democrats voted today to pass a bill that will raise taxes and worsen inflation:
“Today, Democrats like Elissa Slotkin, Haley Stevens and Dan Kildee voted with Joe Biden to allow the IRS to go after working families already struggling to make ends meet thanks to Joe Biden’s inflation policies,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff & Communications Director. “We’re going to fire every single one of these Democrats that decided to increase IRS oversight over struggling Michiganders while doing nothing to bring down the costs of living for working families. Real relief is coming to Michiganders and retirement is coming to Democrats.”
