Lansing, MI – The Michigan GOP released the following statement blasting the Whitmer Administration for neglect after a man fell through a pedestrian bridge that had previously been reported to officials for being unsafe:
“Gretchen Whitmer’s willful neglect of Michigan road conditions knows no end,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director. “As she ignored road issues for four years after riding her ‘fix the damn roads’ campaign catchphrase to the governor’s mansion, a man was injured after falling through a pedestrian bridge that had been reported to authorities for dangerous conditions. This is unacceptable and yet another noteworthy, negligent act Gretchen Whitmer leaves in her wake. Come November, Gretchen Whitmer will no longer reside in the governor’s mansion because we will elect a responsible, competent Republican who will put the people first. Michiganders’ lives depend on it.”
