LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party released the following statement scolding Gretchen Whitmer’s Administration for repeatedly failing to attract businesses to Michigan:
“Gretchen Whitmer has perhaps been the most ineffective executive in bringing new investment to Michigan,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director. “Stellantis choosing Indiana over Michigan is just the latest example of a trend Gretchen Whitmer has set where we’re unable to compete for investment and new jobs in Michigan. We are the auto industry capital of the world and we’re in great danger of losing that thanks to Gretchen Whitmer’s inability to attract new jobs and more investment to our state. Fortunately, this November, we’ll elect a Republican governor who will put an end to this ineffectiveness and bring new jobs and prosperity back to our state.”
