LANSING, MICH – The Michigan Republican Party released the following statement after it was revealed Democrat Elissa Slotkin wouldn’t give comment when asked her thoughts on the appropriateness of gender reassignment surgery for children:
“Elissa Slotkin has shown her radical true colors by staying silent about her position on gender reassignment surgery for children,” said Elizabeth Giannone, MIGOP Deputy Communications Director. “If she wanted to protect and best serve her constituents, young children included, she would speak publicly and passionately against this type of child abuse. Instead, she has begun brainwashing students through woke children’s literature that, in part, encourages kids to identify as different genders. Michigan children deserve better than this push by the radical left to indoctrinate them with dangerous agendas, and Elissa Slotkin will be defeated at the ballot box this November as we usher in a new era of sanity for all.”
