Lansing, Mich — The Michigan Republican Party issued the following statement as gas prices continued to climb and consumer inflation jumped 7.9 percent this week:
“Michiganders are feeling the sting of terrible Democrat policies that are draining bank accounts left and right in our state,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director. “Gretchen Whitmer and Joe Biden are responsible for forcing families to pay more for just about everything and are not doing enough to ease the burden. Thankfully, this fall we’ll be able to elect a new Republican governor in our state who will help Michiganders keep more of what they earn and provide opportunity for everyone.”
