“After push-back from parents fed up with Democrats’ ‘rules for thee, none for me’ agenda, Gretchen Whitmer’s health department has finally rescinded its advisory on masking in schools,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director. “While this is a win for Michigan students and a true testament to the power of parents’ voices, it’s clear Gretchen Whitmer made this decision solely out of fear during an election year. Not only are far-left school board members being recalled in cities where they typically fare well, but the party’s own research shows their messaging is far too radical for voters. As Gretchen Whitmer continues making decisions out of fear, we’ll work to make sure voters remember the impact of her authoritarian rule.
