LANSING, MICH – Following Joe Biden’s lead, Gretchen Whitmer, the Vice-Chairwoman of the Democrat National Committee, today signed an executive order to speed up the Inflation Reduction Act, which the CBO’s projections depict would cost the working class upwards of 20 billion dollars in new taxes.
“Gretchen Whitmer continues to show there’s no daylight between her and Joe Biden’s inflationary policies that continue to slash family budgets up and down the state,” said Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Deputy Chief of Staff & Communications Director. “What Joe Biden signed in Washington and Gretchen Whitmer is doubling down on will make inflation worse. With three vetoes already issued to prevent working families from keeping more of what they earn, it’s clear the last thing Whitmer cares about is struggling families up and down the state. It’s the latest example of why we must fire this incompetent and out of touch politician seeking to climb the political ladder in favor of real opportunity and prosperity Michiganders would get with Tudor Dixon as Governor.”
