MIGOP Announces South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem as Confirmed Speaker for the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference

(Lansing, Mich.) – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem will join Michigan Republicans at the 34th Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference to be held September 24-26, 2021.

“Governor Kristi Noem has led the people of South Dakota with true conservative principles, protecting them against tax increases, federal overreach, and government secrecy,” said MIGOP Chair Ron Weiser. “A lifelong rancher, farmer and small business owner, she knows firsthand many of the struggles her constituents face, fighting tirelessly to keep South Dakota, and other states across the nation, red. We are very excited to add Governor Noem to our list of incredible conference guest speakers.”

Kristi Noem served in the South Dakota legislature for several years, and was elected in 2010 to serve as South Dakota’s lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives. During her time in Congress, Governor Noem helped pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which directly benefitted her South Dakotan constituents by putting money back into their pockets. She has served as governor since 2019.
