Statement from MIGOP on Gretchen Whitmer’s Vetoes of Key Elections Bills
LANSING, MI – Over the weekend, Gretchen Whitmer vetoed bills aimed at protecting our democracy by strengthening the security of our elections. The Michigan Republican Party issued the following statement.
“It’s clear Gretchen Whitmer isn’t interested in protecting democracy. She’s more interested in grand standing and pandering rather than strengthening the security of our elections. This will change when we retire her next year and elect a new Republican Governor.” – Gustavo Portela, MIGOP Communications Director.
