Statement from MIGOP Co-Chair on Gov. Whitmer’s Continued Misuse
of Office Powers Advocating for DNC Agenda
(Lansing, Mich.) – Michigan Republican Party Co-Chair Meshawn Maddock released the following statement after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer called on the Legislature to repeal the state’s abortion ban:
“It’s sad that the governor has laser-focused her efforts on not only partisan publicity stunts, but those that directly advocate for the ending of life. There is much work to be done for our great state, including supporting the vulnerable. We know the governor gets easily distracted by political winds, but it’s time she turns her attention to the real issues facing Michiganders.”
